All of our experiences with Paul in 45 A-Side have left us as a band 100% satisfied and we could not recommend him and this studio enough!

Paul as a producer and person is extremely dedicated, he invests a lot more time and effort into sessions than I would expect him to. Having worked with Paul on multiple records with multiple projects I realised his ability to tune himself into the bands feel and sense of direction, this way of adapting himself to the client (as opposed to him moulding the band into something they are not) makes every record very unique and creatively unrestricted.

Paul really takes on board a musicians mindset and always voices his honest opinions in sessions which can make a huge impact on the final result, as Paul is one of the first people to hear the track outside the band we really rely on having someone like him giving the feedback from an audience perspective, it is easy for a band to become focused on their own performance that they overlook parts that should be emphasized or stripped back.

I feel as a producer Paul is always looking to push boundaries when recording, he adapts and pushes his existing techniques but also takes on board other peoples suggestions, Pauls relaxed approach to recording really helps the momentum of recording, if the song is progressing and there is a good energy about the song he doesn't even question ending the session and happily puts the extra hours in. As Paul doesn't clock watch it means the song can naturally progress and explore parts that may at first not have initially been a significant part to the song, Paul would rather explore where the song could potentially go and put the extra hours in rather than not explore at all and be out a few hours earlier.

As Paul is an easy going guy he seems to effortlessly bond with everyone he works with, sessions are always filled with a good energy and it makes the whole process a good laugh, making it the perfect environment to make music in. As Paul bonds with clients he unconsciously bridges the gap between being a client and a friend, though this bond is naturally made without any intention, it really does make a big difference to future recordings, developing a bond outside of the studio (though not intended) gives a deeper understanding of the artist and what they want the outcome to be. As a bond grows over time naturally between artist and producer it is great that Paul is happy to bridge the gap from work to personal life. I definitely feel the bond between musician and producer makes an impact. Over the records you feel as an artist and a producer that you are progressing together. As Paul acknowledges strengths and weaknesses from previous sessions and understands how the artist works he approaches situations he knows may take more focus in different ways, Paul always approaches musicians weaknesses that they may normally find uncomfortable in a very relaxed manner, because of his calm approach he makes the situation more enjoyable.

The studio itself has some of the best equipment around, Paul constantly reinvests back in to the studio so the already great equipment list is always growing.

A great producer and a great studio that I will returning to without a doubt.

Great studio. Excellent gear, sweet live room and Paul's production ideas can take songs in surprising and amazing directions. I couldn't recommend the studio highly enough.

Easily the best recording studio in Glasgow. Paul and Sam are fantastic and the atmosphere is great. Love their craft and our EP sounded all the better for it!
